Arsenal captain Tony Adms has dislocated a toe during training after clashing with Dennis Bergkamp. Adams looks set to miss tomorrows Premeirship game against Southampton, with Matthew Upson or Gilles Grimandi set to replace him.

Adams Keeps His Place As Arsenal Are Beaten !
Tony Adams kept his place in the Arsenal first team as they went down 1-0 to Leeds United at Elland Road yesterday. Adams looked a little way off the pace of the game throughout and received a Yellow Card The Gunners had seven players booked along the way. Manager Arsene Wenger was restrained from reaching the match referee Dermot Gallagher at the end of the game.

Spartak Moscow 4-1 Arsenal !
Tony Adams returned to Champions League action in Moscow tonight as Arsenal were thrashed 4-1 by Spartak Moscow despite taking a lead in just the second minute of the game. Arsenal under-performed throughout and Adams was guilty of giving the ball away on one occassion that led to one of the Spartak goals.

Arsenal expect to have Tony Adams back from injury in time for Wednesday's Champions League trip to Russia to play Spartak Moscow. Adams has missed Arsenal's last two games with a thigh injury but appears to be a certain starter in this vital game.

Adams Injury Revealed !
It has been revealed that Tony Adams came close to a serious injury when he clashed with Middlesbrough's Brian Deane in last Saturday's Premiership clash. The Arsenal and England centre-back suffered from some heavy internal bleeding in his thigh as a result of the incident and will be rested for tomorrow's game against Derby County. Adams is believed to want to play in tomorrow's game but Arsene Wenger doesn't want to risk any more damage to his captain.

Adams Left Out Of England Squad !
David Seaman, Tony Adams and Martin Keown, the backbone of the England international defence, were all left out of the national squad to face Italy in a friendly game next week. Caretaker manager and Leicester City boss Peter Taylor said that he hadn't even spoken to Adams about the decision to drop him, though he had managed to get through to Keown on Tuesday and that the player was naturally disappointed not to be included in the 26-man squad. Ray Parlour is the only Arsenal player to be included.

Adams Rested as Arsenal are Beaten In Ukraine !
Tony Adams was rested from the Arsenal squad as they went down 3-0 to the Shakhtar Donesk in tonight's Champions League game in the Ukraine, their first defeat of their current Champions League campaign, though Arsenal still finished top of their Group table. Arsenal had been cleared by UEFA to field an under-strength team as they had already secured their qualification to the next stage of the competition but Arsene Wenger surprised many observers with the inclusion of many of his leading lights, though Adams was rested as he is recovering from an injury.
