Arsenal were comprehensively beaten 2-0 by
Everton in their Premiership clash at Goodison

get into the game as they suffered their first

Arsenal
Beaten In Ukraine !
Matthew Upson
featured alongside several of Arsenal's big name players
in tonight's Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Arsenal had been cleared by UEFA to field an under-strength
team as they had already secured their qualification to
the next stage of the competition but Arsene Wenger surprised
many observers with the inclusion of many of his leading
lights. Upson played for the full 90-minutes, on only
his second game since returning from the cruciate knee
ligament damage he suffered last December, as Arsenal
went down 3-0 to the Ukranian team, their first defeat
of their current Champions League campaign, though Arsenal
still finished top of their Group table.
