Central
defender Weston joined Arsenal in the summer of 1997
having already
been a schoolboy international with England. He has since
gone on to win international Youth honors with England
and full international status with Wales.
He was a regular
in both the Arsenal reserve team and the Under-19 squad
lthroughout last season and was given his first team debut
in the final Premeirship game of the season against Newcastle,
where he had to mark Alan Shearer.
In June 2000
Weston received an international call-up from Wales and
was brought on as a substitute for his first cap in the
game against Portugal.
Weston moved
to Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee on 20th November
2000.
