A
full international with Liberia, Wreh has found it hard
to break into the Arsenal first team and has spent loan
spells with AEK Athens of Greece and Den Bosch of Holland
and is probably more famous for being a cousin of George
Weah than for anything he has so far achieved in his own
right..
He
arrived at Highbury from Monaco, following his former
coach Arsene Wenger to England and scored his first Arsenal
goal in the Charity Shield. He failed to progress and
was loaned out to AEK half-way through the 1998-1999 season.
Last
season his only Arsenal appearance was in the Charity
Shield, he was loaned out to Birmingham City for a short
spell and ended the season with Den Bosch in Holland.
It was some surprise to see him still at Highbury for
the start of the 2000-2001 campaign as his future appears
to lie elsewhere.
