LEAGUE
POSTPONED
- The 2001/2002 Championship was halted after
ten of the league clubs protested to the FA and
demanded the resignation of of the President Faud
Musayev. The FA refused and the clubs formed a
breakaway league and club championship which was
in turn not recognised by the FA. As a result
of this dispute UEFA did not allow any of the
Azerbaijan clubs
compete in any of their recognised tournaments.
