  ITALY - Yesterday's Game
  31.01.02 - PARMA 2-0 BRESCIA - Hidetoshi Nakata returned to action to help his Parma side to a 2-0 victory over Brescia in their Coppa Italia Semi-Final 1st Leg game at the Ennio Tardini Stadium. Nakata opened the scoring for Parma but the big story of the game was another injury to Roberto Baggio. Baggio came on for Brescia as a half-time substitute but injured his left knee and left the field on a stretcher only 13-minutes into the second-half.....Details

  31.01.02 - ATALANTA TRAINING - Atalanta goalkeeper Davide Pinato was forced to miss today's training after suffering a bout of 'flu. Doni and Pinardi both took part in some of today's session along with Comandini, who is still suffering from a blow to his left thigh. Calori returned to training with the rest of the squad, Rossini, Bellini, Zenoni and Dabo also trained but will not be available for Sunday's game.
  31.01.02 - BOLOGNA TRAINING - Salvatore Fresi continues to make good progress in training and he's now likely to feature in the starting eleven for Sunday's game with Venezia. Firmani, a newcomer to the Bologna squad, also looks likely to make the first eleven with Della Rocca and Cruz playing in front of Lamberto Zauli 'in the hole' behind the front two. Beppe Signori has returned to training with the rest of the squad but it's still doubtful if he'll be included in the squad for Sunday's game but there is a chance he could go on the subs bench. Fabio Pecchia is in full training but is doubtful for the match.
  31.01.02 - BAGGIO LATEST - If Baggio's knee isn't too swollen then he is due undergo a scan today. The club doctor fears that his season is over and won't be drawn into estimating how long it wil take him to recover. Baggio's inclusion for the Azzuri World Cup squad must now be only a remote possibility.
  31.01.02 - CHIEVO TRAINING - The Chievo squad returned to training today following last night's victory over Lazio. Those players who featured in last night's game weere given an easy time of it, the others undertook a more strenuous training session. On the transfer front Chievo have swopped Jonathan Binotto for Brescia's Max. Esposito.
  31.01.02 - FIORENTINA TRAINING - The Viola squad took a double training session today behind closed doors. Tarozzi and Vanoli did attend some of the training but both players look likely to miss Sunday's game.
  31.01.02 - INTER TRAINING - The Inter squad took a double training session today, with some heavy athletic exercises in the morning and some small 7-a-side games in the afternoon.Cuper could possibly use mre in the starting line-up for Saturday's game, relegating Guly to the bench. Alvaro Recoba didn't take part in the practice but he did continue to train alone, he appears to be nearing full fitness and should return to action soon. Ronaldo has returned from Paris where he went to see a specialist over his injury.
  31.01.02 - JUVENTUS TRAINING - Umberto Agneli attended today's Juve training session. Marcello Lippi looks set to use Ferrara and Montero in Sunday's starting eleven, with Iuliano on the subs bench..
  31.01.02 - LAZIO TRAINING - Hernan Crespo has returned to training with the rest of the squad and looks set to start in Sunday's game. Club captain Alessandro Nesta should also feature in the starting eleven but Castroman is doubtful after cutting a foot during yesterday's game with Chievo.
  31.01.02 - LECCE TRAINING - Lecce won today's friendly with Fiuggi 9-0. Vugrinec and Chevanton both scored twice, Giacomazzi, Pellicori, Superbi and Bojinov scored the others. Cimirotic trained seperately from the others as he recoves from an injury to his left achilles, he will be unavailable for Sunday's game with Juve.Giorgetti also trained alone as he recovers from an injury to his left calf an dhas every chance of being included in the squad for this weekend's game.
  31.01.02 - MILAN TRAINING - Thomas Helveg received a knock during training and is now doubtful for the game against Lazio, Roque Junior is a likely replacement. Rui Costa has returned to training with the ball but will be unavailable for Sunday's game, Jose Mari will also be missing. Costacurta returned to full training as the squad took part in a small practice match with Shevchenko, Javi Moreno and Serginho all scoring..
  31.01.02 - PERUGIA TRAINING - Blasi has a suspected broken nose after being injured during training, Fabian O'Neill has picked up a small calf strain in his left leg and Tedesco has a slight injury to his right leg. Tedesco looks set to recover in time for Sunday's game but the other two remain 'very doubtful'.
  31.01.02 - PIACENZA TRAINING - The Piacenza squad took part in a small 'in-house' practice match this afternoon with Sommese joining up with his new team-mates for the first time.
  31.01.02 - ROMA TRAINING - Cafu has picked up an injury to his left thigh and is 'doubtful' for Sunday's game against Fiorentina. His condition wil be assessed further on Friday. Vincenzo Montella missed today's training session with some tendon trouble in his right foot, he underwent some physiotherapy and has every chance of being included in the squad.
  31.01.02 - TORINO TRAINING - Torino took another training session today. They wil leave for Milan tomorrow evening (Friday). Mezzano is suffering from a slight back injury and confined himself to working in the gym alongside Lucarelli, who has some 'flu symptoms but they should both be included in the travelling party.
  31.01.02 - UDINESE TRAINING - Udinese won today's friendly against Futura 11-0. Muuzzi, Pavon and Iaquinta all scored twice, Helguere, Di Michele, Pizzaro, Thorninger and Jorgensen added the others. Pinziand Martinez missed the game with muscle trouble but he coach is hoping that they will both be available for Sunday's game.
  31.01.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Bison, Viali, Maniero, Valtolina and De Franceschi undertook some seperate training today as they attempt to recover from injuries missin g Venezia's friendly game against Rijeka.
  31.01.02 - VERONA TRAINING - Verona won today's friendly game against Nogara 8-0, with Mario Frick scoring a hat-trick. Salbetti, Montano, Gilardino, Adailton and Italiano scored the others. Dainelli looks likely to replace the disqualified Paolo Cannavaro in Sunday's game against Atalanta.
