  ITALY - Yesterday's Training

  05.03.02 - ATALANTA TRAINING - Zenoni and Rossini both took part in some of today's training, it's estimated that both players could return to action within the next two weeks. Dabo, Doni, Carrera, Paganin and Foglio were all given permission to take today off. There's a double training session planned for Wednesday and a small 'in-house' practice match set for Thursday.

  05.03.02 - BOLOGNA TRAINING - Reanto Olive has returned to training with the rest fo the squad, he should be back in the starting line-up for next Sunday's clash with Milan. Castellini is set to return to the Bologna defence after serving his suspension, Zaccardo is likely to be omitted. After six months on the sidelines and only the most fleeting of glimpses of him on the pitch, Beppe Signori is finally set to return to the starting eleven for Sunday's game, replacing the disqualified Lamberto Zauli.

  05.03.02 - BRESCIA TRAINING - The Brescia squad returned to training today but Guana, Petruzzi and Caracciolo only took part in some of today's exercises, all three are still carrying injuries from Sunday's game. Emanuele Filippini missed today's session, suffering from 'flu, Bachni did attend, though he kept himself to a seperate training regime. There's a double training session planned for Wendesday, at Erbusco in the morning and then at Coccaglio in the afternooon.

  05.03.02 - CHIEVO TRAINING - The Chievo squad took a single training session today, there's another session planned for tomorrow morning, the players will then atttend Jason Mayele's funeral in the afternoon. There's a double training session planned for Thursday , with a friendly game against the Chievo Primavera squad planned for the afternoon.

  05.03.02 - FIORENTINA TRAINING - The squad took today off in order to rest they're set to return to work return on Wednesday, where they will take a double session of training.

  05.03.02 - INTER TRAINING - The Inter squad returned to training today, those players who took part in Sunday night's derby training seperately from the others and confining themselves to the gym. The others took part in a small practice match. Recoba's injury worry appears to be over as he's suffering from no more than some slight muscle fatigue. Emere, Dalmat and Farinos all appear to be recovering well, Farinos may even be able to make a comeback in Saturday's game against Juventus.

  05.03.02 - JUVENTUS TRAINING - Alessio Tacchinardi missed today's training, though it was just as a precautionary measure. Davids and Del Piero only undertook a light training session. Davids has a slight ankle injury, Del Piero is just plain tired. Salas appears to be recovering well.

  05.03.02 - LAZIO TRAINING - Cesar has returned to Brazil in order to sort out some personal problems, he's currently injured and wouldn't have been available for Sunday's game in any case. Gottardi continued to work alone today as he attempts to recover in time for Sunday's game.

  05.03.02 - LECCE TRAINING - The Lecce squad returned to training this afternoon at Calimera where there was a small 'in-house' practice match. Chimenti, Coqu, Billy, Piangarelli, Colonello, Biliotti, Cimirotic and Cirolla all scored goals. Popescu took part in some of today's work, he should be able to return to training with the rest of the squad by Thursday. Chevanton should be available for Sunday's game as he appears to be recovering well from the injury to his left leg. Giorgetti was missing, he's still attending speacialist treatment at Casteldebole. There's a double training session planned for Wednesday and a friendly game set for Thursday afternoon.

  05.03.02 - MILAN TRAINING - The Milan squad returned to training today though Costacurta was missing because of the foot injury he received during Sunday's derby game. Serginho confined himself to athletic exercises as he trained alone. There's a double training session planned for Wednesday.

  05.03.02 - PARMA TRAINING - The Parma squad returned to training today after missing the last two days. Marco Di Vaio was missing from today's session after suffering from an attack of 'flu. Almeyda, Ferrari and Sartor could all be available for Sunday's game with Verona.

  05.03.02 - PERUGIA TRAINING - The Perugia squad returned to training today where Cosmi found himself with a full squad of players to choose from for next week's game with Piacenza. Perugia have two vital games coming up, good results could see them escape from any possible relegation threat, bad results could see them slip into the mire.

  05.03.02 - PIACENZA TRAINING - Boselli missed today's training session. He's sril suffering from the knee injury that forced him out of Sunday's game after just 8-minutes.

  05.03.02 - ROMA TRAINING - The Roma squad were set to take a double training session today. Batistuta looks set to replace Vincenzo Montella for next week's game. Capello has still to decide between using Delvecchio, Tommasi, Emerson and Lima. One things for certain, Capello is likley to continue to use the heavy squad rotation that the's been employing over recent weeks.

  05.03.02 - TORINO TRAINING - Asta returned to training in the gym today but he's most unlikely to be avaialble for Sunday, but has pencilled in the Milan game for his likely return. Both Scarchilli and Franco did however resume training with the rest of the squad today, they should both be on the subs bench for Sunday's game.

  05.03.02 - UDINESE TRAINING - Jorgensen has the Brescia game on March 30th as his target to return to action. Gargo will miss next week's game against Fiorentina. Iaquinta is attempting to rregain his fitness but won't be available until the end of the week at the earliest. There's a double training session planned for Wednesday with a friendly planned for Thursday.

  05.03.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Magallanes and Rossi were both given today off from training for personal reasons. Conteh and Bressan worked on seperate training programmes from the others, Conteh picked up an ankle injury during Sunday's game, Bressan received a blow to his thigh. Rukavina is due to undergo a scan on his torn thigh muscle on Wednesday morning, where the rest of the squad will take a double training session.

  05.03.02 - VERONA TRAINING - Dainelli is still suffering from a swollen right knee and was forced to miss today's training session. Cossato was missing after going down with the 'flu. Leonardo Colucci and Camoranesi both underwent some physiotherapy today though they are both unlikely to be able to make Sunday's game against Parma. Giuseppe Colucci's ankle injury is likley to keep him out of action for at least another month.
