  07.02.02 - PARMA GO THROUGH - Parma lost 2-1 to Brescia in tonight's Coppa Italia Semi-Final 2nd Leg, but still ensured their safe passage to the final, where they will meet Juventus. after winning the tie on aggregate Unfortunately they had their captain, Fabio Cannavaro, sent-off and he will miss the final....Details

  ITALY - Yesterday's Training

  06.02.02 - ATALANTA TRAINING - Massimo Taibi returned to full training with the rest of the Atalanta squad today, he'll be back in the starting line-up for Sunday's game against Brescia. Dabo received some individual coaching and it looks as if he'll be available again in time for the Week 23 game against Milan. Rossini underwent therapy and massage. Zenoni and Foglio kept themselves to a seperate training programme from the rest of the squad.

  06.02.02 - BOLOGNA TRAINING - Guidolin has managed to arrange a friendly game for tomorrow at Casteldebole against Mezzolara, the main purpose of the match is so that the condition of Beppe Signori can be assessed. In any case a final decision on his participation in Sunday's game with Inter isn't likely to be made until the very last minute. Signori and Locatelli have already returned to full training with the rest of the Bologna squad.

  06.02.02 - BRESCIA TRAINING - Carlo Mazzone has decided to rest Giunti, Antonio Filippini and Igli Tare for tomorrow's Coppa Italia Semi-Final 2nd Leg game with Parma. Srnicek will be in goal with Castellazi on the bench. Jonathan Binotto has been confirmed as the replacement for the disqualified Markus Schopp.

  06.02.02 - CHIEVO TRAINING - Chievo won today's game against the Primavera squad 8-0, with Perrotta scoring a hat-trick, Corini scoring twice and Cossato, Corradi and Beghetto adding the others. All of the available squad members took part in some of today's game including Eriberto, who still has some muscle trouble, and the new signings Esposito, Rinaldi and Grillon.

  06.02.02 - FIORENTINA TRAINING - Bianchi is likely to experiment with using Di Livio and Rossitto in the centre of midifeld for tomorrow's friendly game with Kaerten. He'll also be able to assess the respective conditions of Adani, Tarozzi and Baronio, who all still have chances of making the starting line-up for Sunday's game with Venezia.

  06.02.02 - INTER TRAINING - Alvaro Recoba returned to training with the rest of the squad today as they trainied under heavy rain. Dalmat, Padalino and Okan continued on their seperate training programmes as they bid to recover from their respective injuries.

  06.02.02 - LAZIO TRAINING - Stefano Fiore has some slight damage to the collateral ligamentt in his right knee and is now extremely doubtful for Sunday's game with Parma. There is still some doubt over whether Hernan Crespo will be fit enough to return. Karel Poborsky only took part in some of today's training but should make the starting eleven. Simone Inzagi was missing from today's session.

  06.02.02 - LECCE TRAINING - The Lecce squad took part in a double training session today with Cimirotic and Giorgetti keeping to seperate training programmes. Neither player looks likely to be available for Sunday's game with Verona. Rossi concentrated on tactical training with some athletic exercises. There's another double training session planned for tomorrow where the squad will take part in a small 'in-house' practice match.

  06.02.02 - PARMA TRAINING - Carmignani looks likely to use just Bonazzoli as a lone striker in Thursday's Coppa Italia Semi-Final 2nd Leg against Brescia, with Hidetoshi Nakata and Johan Micoud playing just behind him as Hakan Sukur isn't available, and he wants to rest Marco Di Vaio. The starting line-up is expected to be Taffarel, Diana, Djetou, Cannavaro, Benarrivo, Bolano, Boghossian, Gurenko, Micoud, Nakata and Bonazzoli.

  06.02.02 - PERUGIA TRAINING - Fabian O'Neill misssed another training session today and remains Serse Cosmi's only 'doubt' for Sunday's game with Milan, he's due to have a final fitness test tomorrow afternoon. The coach is expected to disclose his probable starting eleven tomorrow.

  06.02.02 - PIACENZA TRAINING - The Piacenza squad took a double training session today but Volpi and Sommese only took part in this morning's exercises. Sacchetti continued to train alone. There will be a practice match against the Primavera sqaud tomorrow afternoon, weather permitting.

  06.02.02 - ROMA TRAINING - The Roma squad took a double training session today. Assuncao and Cafu both underwent some physiotherapy and then worked in the gym. Cafu is stil carrying a thigh injury and remains doubtful for Sunday's game with Juve. Goalkeeper Ivan Pelizzoli was forced to stop training after receivng a blow to his left leg. Walter Samuel and Francesco Totti did not take part in the afternoon's 'in-house' practice match, but this was just a precautionary measure. Capello will wait for a decision of Cafu's availablity before revealing his plans for Sunday's game.

  06.02.02 - TORINO TRAINING - The Torino squad took a double training session today, working in the gym in the morning and on the playing field in the afternoon, despite the training ground being covered in snow. Mezzano and Franco trained seperately from the others.

  06.02.02 - UDINESE TRAINING - Udinese scaped through today's friendly game with their Primavera squad, winning 3- after Warley had put the youngsters 2-0 up after only 20-minutes. Muzzi, Di Michele and Marcos Paulo all struck for the first team as they managed to 'save face'. Gargo, Sottil, Jorgensen and Pizarro all missed the game. Gargo is likely to miss Saturday evening's game with Chievo after picking up a foot injury, which at present is stopping him from even walking properly.

  06.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Stefano Bettarini returned to training today as the Venezia squad prepared for Sunday's game with Fiorentina. Bressan has recovered from his high temperature but didn't train today, Rukavina underwent some physiotherapy on the injury to his left thigh. Brivio and Valtolina were both forced to stop training after suffering some muscle trouble. De Franceschi and Magallanes trained alone. There was a small practice match in the afternoon where Maniero picked up a slight back injury but it doesn't appear to be anything serious. Surprisngly the Venezia goalkeeper Rossi managed to score twice in the afternoon game, as did Andersson. Stefano Bettarini returned to training. There's a small friendly game planned for tomorrow afternoon.

  06.02.02 - VERONA TRAINING - The Verona squad returned to training again today where the club doctors appear to have ruled out both Teodorani and Salvetti from Sunday's game. Italiano and Frick both have slight injury worries, Italiano is experiencing some muscle trouble, Frick has a slight injury to his right knee. Camoranesi is also 'doubtful' for Sunday's game with Lecce. There's a small friendly game planned for tomorrow against the Primavera squad.
