ITALY - Last Night's Games

09.02.02 - CHIEVO 1-2 UDINESE - The wheels have finally come off Chievo's championship challenge. The side from the little povince of Verona went down 2-1 to Udinese at the Bentegodi Stadium tonight. Kroldrup and Muzzi gave Udinese a 2-0 lead inside the first 25-minutes before Cossato scored a late consolation goal for Chievo. Udinese keeper Luigi Turci was sent off deep into injury time but ir was too late for Chievo to stage a fightback....Details

09.02.02 - ATALANTA TRAINING - Vavassori has confirmed that he will use Jose Inacio Pia alongside Comandini in attack for tomorrow's game against Brescia. Otherwise the team will be the same as last week with the exception of either Natali or Paganin replacing the disqualified Massimo Carrera. Orlandini is unavailable, he will resume full training again on Tuesday. Cavalli, Dabo, Rossini and Zenoni are all still injured.

09.02.02 - BOLOGNA TRAINING - Francesco Guidolin still hasn't confirmed his tactics for tomorrow's game against Inter. He is considering moving Carlo Nervo into the centre of midfield with Brighi replacing Pecchia. Gamberini may be slotted into the centre of the defence. Julio Cruzcould play as a lone striker with Nervo and Firmani in behind.

09.02.02 - MARAZZINA CALLED UP - Massimo Marazzina has been called up to the Italian national squad for the first tim.

09.02.02 - BRESCIA TRAINING - The Brescia squad held a training session behind closed doors today with Carlo Mazzone prefering to keep his options close to his chest. It's thought that Luca Toni may be employed as a lone striker with Giunti in behind. Guana, Yllana and Schopp could all be in the midfield. Petruzzi will be missing after suffering a knock but Calori should be in the centre of defence with Bonera on the right.

09.02.02 - FIORENTINA TRAINING - Bianchi has confirmed that he will play Nuno Gomez and Adriano as twin strikers with Morfeo in behind for tomorrow's relegation clash with Venezia. He's also considering a possible switch to a 4-3-1-2 formation.

09.02.02 - INTER TRAINING - The Inter squad took part in a small practice match before departing for Bologna. Gresko hasn't been included in the squad as he's carrying a slight injury, Emre is also out, he's got an injury to his left calf. Simic, Vivas, Farinos, Recoba and Seedorf could all start the game. Inter have put back the date of Ronaldo's return from Brazil, the club doctor believes that the climate there is preferable and will help his return to fitness.

09.02.02 - JUVENTUS TRAINING - The Juventus squad left for Rome this afternoon with Lippi still to make up his mind over two positions for tomorrow's game. Davids and Iuliano are throught to be preferable options to Zambrotta and Ferrara in the starting line-up.

09.02.02 - LAZIO TRAINING - Nesta and Crespo are both set for a return to the starting eleven for tomorrow's game at Parma but Crespo isn't though to be up to playing for the full 90-miinutes. Both Fiore and Inzaghi have had to drop out of the squad but they should be ready for next week's game with Chievo. Liverani only took part in some of today's training session after experiencing some muscle trouble but he will be in tomorrow's starting line-up.

09.02.02 - LECCE TRAINING - Both Giacomazzi and Conticchio have recovered from last week's injuries and are available for tomorrow's game with Verona. Popescu is likely to replace Stovini in the starting eleven after missing last week's game though disqualification, otherwise there will be no great changes.

09.02.02 - MILAN TRAINING - Ambrosini has recovered well from the injury he picked up in Wednesday's Coppa Italia game, he should make the starting eleven for tomorrow's match with Perugia. Pippo Inzaghi is continuing to make a speedy recovery, he could be available for selection again very soon.

09.02.02 - PARMA TRAINING - Almeyda has a chance of recovering in time for tomorrow's game, if he doesn't make the starting eleven then Bolano will be his replacement. Micoud and Hakan Sukur should be in the team from the start.

09.02.02 - PERUGIA TRAINING - The Perugia squad took another training sesison this morning where Cosmi confirmed that he will include Gatti in the starting line-up for tomorrow's game with Milan. Bazzani and Vryzas will act as twin strikers.

09.02.02 - PIACENZA TRAINING - Walter Novellino has confirmed that the will use the same team that played in last week's game with Chievo with the exception of Sommese replacing Gautieri, after Sommese missed last week's game through disqualification.

09.02.02 - ROMA TRAINING - Cafu has recovered and will be in the starting line-up for tomorrow's championship clash with Juventus. Walter Samuel is a confirmed starter but Zebina, Panucci, Aldair and Zago are all contesting the two available places in the Roma defence. Capello has confirmed that he wil play 3-5-2 with Batuistuta and Totti playing as twin strikers.

09.02.02 - TORINO TRAINING - The Torino squad took part in another training session this morning where Delli Carri returned to work with the others, he will be in the starting eleven for tomorrow's game against his old club Piacenza.

09.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Conteh and Valtolina are both suffering from high temperatures that put them in doubt for tomorrow's game with Fiorentina, though they have both been included in the squad. Venezia youngster Balleello has been called up to the first team squad from the Primavera team for the first time, Andersson and Pablo Garcia should both make the starting line-up.

09.02.02 - VERONA TRAINING - The Verona squad took a training session today before leaving for Lecce but Salvetti and Teodorani have been left behind. Goalkeeper MIchele Cossato has travelled with the others.
