  ITALY - Yesterday's Training

  12.03.02 ATALANTA TRAINING - The Atalanta squad returned to training today, where those players who didn't take part in Sunday's game played a small 'in-house' practice match. Comandini missed today's training session after complaining of some stomach pains. Pinato was missing with a back problem. Doni and Berretta are both set to return to the starting eleven after missing last week's game through suspensions.

  12.03.02 BOLOGNA TRAINING - Salvatore Fresi picked up a slight injury to his right ankle during Sunday's game with Milan, he managed to take part in some of today's training and he should be in the starting line-up for next weekend's clash with Fiorentina. Lamberto Zauli will be available again after missing the Milan game through disqualification, but he's likley to be on the bench.

  12.03.02 BRESCIA TRAINING - The Brescia squad returned to training this afternoon at Erbusco, but Antonio Filippini was only able to take part in some light exercises, he's still suffering from a shoulder injury and is now 'doubtful' for Sunday's game with Lazio. His condition will be re-assessed on Wednesday when there's a double trainig session planned, the morning will be spent at Erbusco, the afternon at Coccaglio. There's a friendly against the amateurs of Dell'Orsa planned for Thursday afternoon.

  12.03.02 CHIEVO LATEST - The Chievo squad have completed their final training session and have already left for Parma for tomorrow night's game. (Wednesday). Rinaldi has aninjury to his right knee and he'll miss tomorrow's game. Manfredini will be disqualified after getting Red Carded on Sunday, D'Anna and Legrottaglie are both available after missing Sunday's game through disqualification.

  12.03.02 FIORENTINA TRAINING - The Fiorentina squad took an early morning training session today where Bianchi divided the players in to two groups. Adani, Franceschetti, Adriano, Tarozzi, Amoroso, Amaral, Di Livio and Pierini took part in a seperate training programme from the others who all took part in a small practice match. Ganz, Agostini, Palombo, Ceccarelli, Mijatovic, Gonzalez, Moretti, Rossitto and Cois took part in the game. There's a double training session planned for Wednesday.

  12.03.02 INTER TRAINING - The Inter players took part in an intensive training session today but the injured players, Vivas, Georgatos, Padalino, Sorondo, Okan and Ronaldo kept to a seperate training regime. Ronaldo took part in some running exercises for almost two hours. Cristiano Zanetti will miss Thursday's Uefa Cup game with Valencia as he's disqualified, Stephane Dalmat may be called up to the starting eleven as his replacement.

  12.03.02 LAZIO TRAINING - Favalli appears to be the only injured player likely to be available for Sunday's game with Brescia, he's still suffering from a thigh strain but should be able to go on the subs bench. Colonnese has a slight tear toathe collateral ligament in his left knee, Negro is suffering from a similar problem. Cesar is still back in Brazil, where he's recovering from his injury

  12.03.02 LECCE TRAINING - The Lecce squad returned to training at Calimera this morning. Cimirotic was given the day off, he's picked up a slight injury to his right leg. Giorgetti is still missing from training but he's expected back by the end of the week. Vugrinec and Chevanton both undertook seperate training programmes and were both 'scoped'. There's a double training session planned for Wednesday and a friendly against Trepuzzi planned for Thursday afternoon.

  12.03.02 MILAN TRAINING - Andrei Shevchenko has returned to training with the rest of the squad, he appears to have shaken off the worst of his thigh injury but he will miss Thursday's Uefa Cup game with Hapoel Tel Aviv, he hasn't even been called to the squad. Gattuso will be disqualified for Thursday's game. Serginho and Ambrosini are both likely to be included. The squad will leave for Cyprus on Wednesday morning.

  12.03.02 PARMA TRAINING - The Parma squad took another training session today as they prepared for Wednesday evening's game with Chievo. Diana and Frey both missed the session, both players are improving in condition but niether of them will be available for Wednesday. Bolano trained alone as he attempts to recover from injury.

  12.03.02 PERUGIA TRAINING - Rezaei and Fabian O'Neill both took part in some of today's training programme. O'Neill still isn't 100% fit but both players are expected to be in the starting line-up for Sunday's game with Parma. Ahn Jung Hwan has been called up to the South Korean national squad, he should be back within the week.
  12.03.02 PIACENZA TRAINING - Boselli has returned to training with the rest of the squad but he's still very 'doubtful' to make the squad for Saturday's game with Udinese. Patrascu is likley to make his full debut on Sunday as the disqualifications to Volpi and Matuzalem will make space in midfield.

  12.03.02 ROMA TRAINING - The Roma squad took a double training session behind closed doodrs today. Capello has still to decide between using Montella or Batistuta from the start for Wednesday's Champions League game against Galatasaray.

  12.03.02 TORINO TRAINING - Franco and Scarchilli both look likley to be able to go on the subs bench for Sunday night's game agaisnt Milan.Asta is likley to miss the match, though he's expected back within the fortnight. Cauet missed today's training session with toothache, Lucarelli was given permission to take the day off. Yksel Osmanovski made a breif appearance at the training ground today, he's currently on loan at Bordeaux but had to return for beureaucratic reasons.

  12.03.02 UDINESE TRAINING - Helveg and Muz i both kept themselves to seperate training programmes today as they atempt to recover from injuries, both players are expected to be in the starting line-up for Sunday's game with Piacenza. Gargo and Iaquinta both took part in some of today's training session, they have slight chances of making the squad for Sunday. Pinzi will return to the starting eleven after missing last week's game through disqualification. Scarlato has a slight injury to his left knee.

  12.03.02 VENEZIA TRAINING - The Venezia squad returned to training today with a full squad present. Rukavina trained alone as he recovers from his injury, worrking in the gym before completing some fast running exercises. Maniero, De Franceschi, Di Napoli and Conteh missed out on the 'in-house' practice match, preferring to do some laps of the training ground. Bressan and De Franceschi have both been put on the 'diffidati' warning list, Marasco has been banned for one match.

  12.03.02 VERONA TRAINING - Frick's inury is more serious that was first thought and he has usccesfully undergone an operation, though as yet there is no indication as to the time of his expected recovery. Seric and Cossato have however both returned to full training with the rest of the squad and both players are available for selection again. Leonardo Colucci, Giuseppe Colucci, Filippini, Adailton and Dossena continued on their respective training programmes as they all attempt to recover from their injuries..
