  ITALY - Yesterday's Training

  15.02.02 - ATALANTA TRAINING - The Atalanta squad took part in another training session today before leaving for Milan, Calderoni, Fabiano, Madaschi, Zenoni, Rossini, Cavalli and Paganin didn't train and none of them have travelled with the squad.Ousmane Dabo has finally returned to full training and he's available for selection for Saturday night's game. Colombo missed today's training session with a 'cricked' neck but he has made the trip to Milan. Goalkeeper Massimo Taibi only took part in some of today's session but his place in Saturday's starting line-up isn't in doubt.

  15.02.02 - BOLOGNA TRAINING - Beppe Signori and Renato Olive are both expected to be start on the subs bench for Sunday's game with Udinese, though no definate arrangements have been made yet. Guidolin will make his final selections on Saturday afternoon, but he's expected to use the same starting eleven that beat Inter last week, with the exception of Falcone in place of Gamberini. Salvatore Fresi picked up a slight injury during yesterday's friendly with Odense, he was given today off in order to rest and his condition will still have to be assessed.

  15.02.02 - BRESCIA TRAINING - The Brescia squad took another training session today where Carlo Mazzone experimented with various tactics as the team prepared for Sunday's game with Roma. Igli Tare and Marek Kozminski both took part in today's session after returning from this week's international appearances. There's another training session planned for Saturday afternoon.

  15.02.02 - CHIEVO TRAINING - Lupatelli has completely recovered from his injury and is back in full training with the rest of the squad. Marazzina has also resumed training with the others following his midweek exertions with the Azzuri squad.

  15.02.02 - FIORENTINA TRAINING - The Viola squad arrived in Turin this afternoon. Bianchi has indicated that he will probably use a 3-5-2 formation for Saturday afternoon's game with Juventus, with Morfeo and Adriano in the starting line-up.

  15.02.02 - INTER TRAINING - The Inter squad took another training session today and once again it was raining heavily. The players worked in the gym before moving on to some athletic exercises, followed by a small 'in-house' practice match.

  15.02.02 - JUVENTUS TRAINING - Tudor and Amoruso are both injured and wil miss Saturday afternoon's game with Fiorentina. Montero and Birindelli are both carrying injuries, Montero may go on the subs bench with Thuram moving to the centre of the defence and Zenoni at right back.

  15.02.02 - LAZIO TRAINING - Once again Fabio Liverani only took part in some of today's training session, he's now 'doubtful' to make the starting line-up for Sunday's game with Chievo. Fiore, Favalli, Simeone and Negro are all injured, Fernando Couto missed part of today's session.

  15.02.02 - LECCE TRAINING - The Lecce squad concentrated on some tactical training today before leaving for Perugia in the afternoon. Gioregetti missed today's session, Piangarelli only managed to take part in some of the exercises as he recovers from an attack of 'flu. Rossi looks likely to use Chevanton and Vugrinec as twin strikers for Sunday's game.

  15.02.02 - MILAN TRAINING - Thomas Helveg appears to be recovering well but he will miss Saturday night's game with Atalanta, he's expected to be back in the starting line-up for next week's Uefa Cup game. Ancelotti has still to decide between Roque Junior and Contra as his replacement.

  15.02.02 - PARMA TRAINING - The Parma squad undertook another training session today where they took part in some tactical training, including a9-a-side practice match. Marco Di Vaio practiced tacking free kicks.

  15.02.02 - PERUGIA TRAINING - Fusani looks likely to replace the injured Giovanni Tedesco for Sunday's game with Lecce. Tedesco is improving but it's most unlikely that he'll make the game.

  15.02.02 - PIACENZA TRAINING - The Romanian Patrascu has finally completed his transfer to Piacenza, he could be in the starting line-up for Sunday's game with Venezia as Cardone and Sacchetti are both out with injuries. Novellino has still to decide who to use between Di Franceco and Sommese for the one available place on the left flank.

  15.02.02 - ROMA TRAINING - Panucci is continuing to recover from his injury but he may have to sit out Sunday's game with Brescia, though he is expected to be back in the starting eleven for next Wednesday's Champions League game with Barcelona. Zebina has almost fully recovered from his injury. Marcos Assuncao and Abel Balbo both underwent some physiotheraphy before training. 'Big Phil' Scolari, the Brazilian national coach has been talking to 'Don Fabio' Capello and he has indicated that Lima is very close to winning his first international cap.

  15.02.02 - TORINO TRAINING - Heavy snowfall in Turin confined the Torino squad to working in the gym today, as the training ground was unusable.Franco has a tendon injury in his left knee and he'll be forced to rest for the next ten days. Two Primavera players, Quagliarella and Paolo Rossi have been called up to the first team squad and they will both make the trip for Sunday's game with Parma.

  15.02.02 - UDINESE TRAINING - Kroldrup has returned to full training with the rest of the Udinese squad. He was forced out of Thursday's friendly with some muscle trouble, but he should be in the starting line-up for Sunday's game with Bologna. Pineda is also available but Di Michele will probably have to forfeit his place to Iaquinta, though he could still go on the subs bench. Caballero and Manfredini should both be in the starting eleven with Jorgensen starting on the bench.

  15.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - A heavy thunderstorm reduced today's training session to just one hour but the squad then took part in some tactical discussions in the dressing rooms. Donnet and Andersson have both returned to full training with the others, Pablo Garcia and Lai have both returned from their midweek efforts with their national squads. Rukavina undertook some physiotherapy before starting training where he and Budan undertook a seperate training programme from the others. There's another training session planned for Saturday morning, the squad will then leave for Piacenza in the afternoon.

  15.02.02 - VERONA TRAINING - Leonardo Colucci, Seric, Salvetti and Gonnella are all definately out of Sunday's game with Inter. Colucci will undergo some test on his injury and he'll be forced to rest for the next few days. Malesani won't decide on his replacement until after Saturday morning's training session, though Teodorani is the most likely player to start in his place, Paolo Cannavaro should replace Gonnella.
