  ITALY - Yesterday's Training

  18.02.02 - ATALANTA TRAINING - The Atalanta squad are set to return to training on Tuesday afternoon where Ousmane Dabo is expected to be confirmed as being fully fit and available for selection again. Even though he travelled with the squad for last Saturday's game with Milan he didn't play, but he is expected to be in the starting line-up for next week's game with Lazio. Massimo Paganin is suffering from some muscle trouble, he'll have to start this week's training at a reduced pace but should be able to recover in time for next week's game.

  18.02.02 - BOLOGNA TRAINING - The Bologna squad are set to return to training on Tuesday where both Fresi and Gamberini should be back in full training with the rest of the squad. Fresi was called up for Sunday's game at Udinese but he remained on the bench throughout. Gamberini has recovered from an attack of 'flu, both players, along with Wome, will be available for next week's game. Carlo Nervo will be the only missing player, he'll be disqualified after picking up a Red card at Udine.

  18.02.02 - BRESCIA TRAINING - The Brescia squad are set to return to training on Tuesday where the condition of Salgado will be assessed. The Chilean defender missed last weekend's game after suffering some muscle trouble. Carlo Mazzone will have to go before the Sporting Judge following his temper tantrums on Sunday, and he faces another period of disqualification from the dug-out. Both Yllana and Emanuele Filippini will be available again for next week's clash with Chievo after missing the Roma game though disqualification.

  18.02.02 - CHIEVO TRAINING - The Chievo squad are set to return to training on Tuesday afternoon where the condition of Eriberto will be assessed, the knee injury he picked up in the game against Udinese caused him to miss last week's match with Lazio.

  18.02.02 - FIORENTINA TRAINING - Those players who didn't start the in Saturday's game with Juventus returned to training today. Both Vanoli and Agostini appear to have fully recovered from their injuries and will be available for selection again in time for next week's vital relegation clash with Lecce. Adani is still doubtful to make Sunday's game.

  18.02.02 - INTER TRAINING - The Inter players who didn't take part in Sunday's game with Verona all returned to training today, with Ventola, Materazzi, Cristiano Zanetti joining them. Cristian Vieri was also at the training ground, but he was only there to have his ankle injury inspected by the club doctors, Vieri picked up the slight knock during Friday's training session but it didn't appear to hinder him during Sunday's game.

  18.02.02 - JUVENTUS TRAINING - The Juventus squad undertook a light training programme today as they prepared for Tuesday's Champions League game with Deportvo la Corruna. Paolo Montero will probably be rested from Tuesday's squad as he a slight pulled muscle, though it's nothing serious and it's just a precautionary measure. He should be back in the starting line-up for Sunday's Turin 'derby'.

  18.02.02 - LAZIO TRAINING - The Lazio squad were given today off from training in order to rest up. The players are due to return to work tomorrow, where Stefano Fiore should resume training after missing the last two week's through injury. Lucas Castroman is still suffering with a thigh problem and his condition will have to be assesed.

  18.02.02 - LECCE TRAINING - The Lecce squad are set to return to training on Tuesday afternoon, where the condiiton of Giorgetti's calf injury will be assessed. He's likely to miss next week's vital relegation clash with Fiorentina, where Colonello will be disqualified after he picked up a Red Card during last Sunday's game.

  18.02.02 - MILAN TRAINING - The Milan squad have left for Holland as they prepare for Tuesday evening's Uefa Cup game against Roda JC. Kaladze and Donati haven't travelled with the squad after both players complained of having a high temperature. Costacurta remains doubtful for the game. The players will return to Milan immediately after the match and will take Wednesday off from training.

  18.02.02 - PARMA TRAINING - The Parma squad took an early training session today as they prepared for Thursday's Uefa Cup game with Hapoel Tel Aviv. The entire squad took part in today's session though Micoud, Lamouchi, Boghossian, Almeyda, Ferrari and Grieco undertook a seperate training programme, though Almeyda and Ferrari are definately out of Thursday's game.

  18.02.02 - PERUGIA TRAINING - Perugia have two friendly games planned for midweek as they prepare for Saturday evening's Serie-A clash with Roma at the Stadio Olimpico. Vryzas will be missing from Saturday's game after he picked up a Yellow Card on Sunday, but Gatti, Baiocco and Sogliano will all be back after missing Sunday's game because of disqualifications.

  18.02.02 - PIACENZA TRAINING - Sacchetti and Cardone will have their respective conditions assesed when the squad return to training on Tuesday. Novellino has already confirmed that he intends to use Hubner and Caccia as twin strikers for next Sunday's game against Parma, but Di Francesco will be disqualified after picking up a Yellow Card last Sunday.

  18.02.02 - ROMA TRAINING - The Roma squad have already resumed training as they began their preperations for Wednesday's Champions League game with Barcelona. Capello has called up 23-players to the squad for the trip to Spain, including Panucci, who is set to make his Champions League debut for Roma. Batistuta was given the day off in order to rest after suffering from some muscle trouble and Totti only took part in some of today's exercises. Balbo, Tomic, Fuser and Emerson continued on seperate training programmes as they attempt to recover from injury.

  18.02.02 - TORINO TRAINING - The Torino squad are set to return to training on Tuesday afternoon. Franco is still suffering from an injury to his right knee and it will probably force him to miss next week's Turin 'derby', where Castellini will be disqualified.

  18.02.02 - UDINESE TRAINING - The Udinese players who didn't take part in Sunday's game with Bologna were the only ones to train today. Almiron is still suffering from some problems with his left knee and he's due to fly to Spain to see a specialist on Tuesday. Caballero will be available for next week's clash with Inter after being rested due to his late arrival back from South America last week. Goalkeeper Luigi Turci will also be available after missing last week's game through disqualification. Mohammed Gargo will have his injury assessed on Tuesday.

  18.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - The Venezia squad are set to return to training on Tuesday afternoon where Rukavina is expected to resume full training after missing the last three weeks with a thigh injury. Fabio Bilica will miss next Sunday's game with Milan after picking up a Yellow Card during Sunday's defeat at Piacenza, he's likely to be replaced by William Viali.

  18.02.02 - VERONA TRAINING - Mario Frick will have to wait for a few more days before the exact nature of his eye injury is known. Frick received a kick in the eye from Ivan Cordoba during Sunday's game with Inter, and at first it was though that he may have suffered a detartched retina. Though it's now thought to be not that serious an injury. Goalkeeper Fabrizio Ferron spent the night in hospitalfollowing hjis clash with Dainelli and he appears to have some damage to his sternum and to his ribs. A decision on his availablility for next week's game with Bologna won't be made until later in the week, the same goes for Italiano, who suffered a foot injury during Sunday's game.
