26.02.02 - ROMA 3-0 BARCELONA - Roma played hosts to Barcelona tonight in the Champions League and ran out decisive 3-0 victors. A superb display from Francesco Totti and three second-half goals from Emerson, Montella and Tommasi crushed the supposed might of Barcelona....Live Report .....Details

ITALY - Yesterday's Training

26.02.02 - ATALANTA TRAINING - Rossini returned to full training with the other squad members as the Atalanta players returned to work today. In the afternoon the squad took part in a small friendly game against some of the club's juvenile players. Damiano Zenoni and Luca Cavalli kept themselves to seperate training programmes as they bid to recover from injury, as did Zauri, who suffered a blow to his right leg on Sunday. Luca Saudati missed today's training as he is suffering from some 'flu symptoms. Inacio Pia and Pinato both underwent some massage treatment.

26.02.02 - BOLOGNA TRAINING - The Bologna squad returned to training today where Carlo Nervo had a full squad at his disposition, though Castellini will be missing from next Sunday's game as he is disqualified. There's a friendly game planned against the amateurs of Felsina San Lazzaro for Thursday afternoon at Casteldebole.

26.02.02 - BRESCIA TRAINING - The Brescia squad returned to training today but Castellazi was missing after suffering a death in his family. He's set to return to training on Wednesday, where the squad have a double training session planned. The condition of his ankle injury will then be assessed.

26.02.02 - CHIEVO TRAINING - The Chievo squad returned to training today but Barone was given permission to take the day off for family reasons. Grillon was also missing from training after picking up an injury during Saturday's Primavera game. There's a friendly game planned for Thursday afternoon at Casaleone.

26.02.02 - FIORENTINA TRAINING - Chiesa and Taddei were the only players to have trained today. There's a double training session planned for Wednesday where the condiiton of Di Livio will be assessed. Tarozzi is expected to return to the starting line up for the game against Verona after missing last week's match through disqualification. Adani is also set to return to the first team squad after recovering from injury.

26.02.02 - INTER TRAINING - Today Cristian Vieri took part in some athletic exercises, some running and some training with the ball followed by 20-minutes of excercising in the gym but he won't be called up to the squad for this week's game against AEK Athens. Cuper has convened three Primavera players, Bretti, Pasquale and Perfetti, for the trip to Greece.

26.02.02 - JUVENTUS TRAINING - Lippi confined the squad to team talks today. He may use Iuliano in the strating line-up for tonight's game with Deportivo, with Montero on the bench. Zambrotta could also be a substitute. Up-front Nedved is likely to form a 'trident' with Del Piero and Trezeguet.

26.02.02 - LAZIO TRAINING - The Lazio squad returned to training today where Crespo, Castroman, Favalli and Simeone were kept to a seperate training programme from the others. Crespo has a back problem, Castroman is still suffering from some muscle trouble in his right thigh, Favalli has an injury to his left thigh and Simeone is recovering from a long term knee-injury. Negro, Cesar, Gottardi and Gottardi were all missing from today's session. Negro has an injury to his left knee, Cesar has an injury to his right clavicle, Gottardi picked up an injury to his left thigh during Sunday's game that could keep him out of action for the next two weeks. Dejan Stankovic is expected to undergo a scan on his injured left thigh on Wednesday morning.

26.02.02 - LECCE TRAINING - Giorgetti was missing from training today, he's still at Casteldebole where he's undergoing specialist treatment fo his injured left calf. Chimenti was confined to light exercise in the gym and some physiotherapy, though he has a chance of being available for next Sunday's game. The other squad members undertook some intensive athletic exercises at today's training. There's a double training session planned for Wednesday and a friendly game against Maglie planned for Thursday afternoon.

26.02.02 - MILAN TRAINING - Laursen has recovered from his injury and he's available for the game against Roda JC. Serginho has also recovered from his back injury and he could also be used during Thursday's game. Helveg will miiss the Uefa Cup match and probably miss the Milan 'derby' as well.

26.02.02 - PARMA TRAINING - Today the Parma squad continued to prepare for Thursday's Uefa Cup clash with Hapoel Tel Aviv. Almeyda, Ferrari, Grieco and Sartor all continued on their seperate training regimes as the club's general manager Luca Baraldi payed a visit to the training ground.

26.02.02 - PERUGIA TRAINING - Cosmi has confirmed that he will use Vryzas and Bazzani as twin strikers for Sunday's game with Torino, as Vryzas is available again after missing last Sunday's game through disqualifiecation. The coach has still to decide between Gatti or O'Neill to replace the disqualified Blasi, though O'Neill would have to be the favourite to start.

26.02.02 - PIACENZA TRAINING - The Piacenza squad returned to trainng today where Sacchetti and Cardone joined their companions.

26.02.02 - TORINO TRAINING - The Torino squad returned to training today bruised and battered from Sunday night's Turin 'derby'. Asta's ankle injury will keep him out of action for the next two weeks at least, Fattori picked up a knee injury during Sunday's game. Francesco Ciminelli is facing censure following his verbal attack on the referee Paparesta following the derby game. Garzya is still carrying an injury, Franco has a knee injury.

26.02.02 - UDINESE TRAINING - Luigi Turci missed today's training session as he's suffering from an attack of 'flu. Pinzi has a stomach problem and also missed training but both players are expected back for Sunday's game. Di Michele and Iaquinta kept themselves on a seperate training programme from the other, both could make the squad for Sunday. There's a friendly game against Azzenese planned for Thursday afternoon.

26.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - The Venezia coach Iachini was misisng from today's trainig session as he had an appointment with the Federcalcio. Garcia, Magallanes, Maniero and De Franceschi kept themselves to seperate training programmes. Magalanes has a back injury. Rukavina is expected to undergo a scan on Wednesday morning, if everything is O.K then he'll be back in the first team squad for Sunday.

26.02.02 - VERONA TRAINING - Giuseppe Colucci's ankle injury is worse than first feared and he could be out of action for up to a month. Seric, Camoranesi and Leonardo Colucci are all on thier way to recovery but it's doubtful if any of them will be available for Sunday's game. Dainelli missed today's training session after suffering from some 'flu symptoms, Filippini and Zanchi were both missing with some muscle problems. Frick did however resume training and he could be available for the game against Fiorentina.
