- BOLOGNA TRAINING - Salvatore Fresi
continues to make good progress in
training and he's now likely to feature
in the starting eleven for Sunday's
game with Venezia. Firmani, a newcomer
to the Bologna squad, also looks likely
to make the first eleven with Della
Rocca and Cruz playing in front of
Lamberto Zauli 'in the hole' behind
the front two.
Beppe Signori has returned to training
with the rest of the squad but it's
still doubtful if he'll be included
in the squad for Sunday's game but
there is a chance he could go on the
subs bench. Fabio Pecchia is in full
training but is doubtful for the match.
Della Rocca looks likely to partner
Julio Cruz,which wil be the first
time the two players start a game
together.

- Chievo midfielder Fabio Firmani
has joined Bologna 'on-loan' until
the end of the season.

- Salvatore Fresi appears to be making
a quick recovery and he could yet
make the starting line-up for Sunday's
game against Venezia,
the game which will mark Lamberto
Zauli's 100th Serie-A appearance.
Bologna also unveiled their new signing,
Valdo Smit, he has been assigned the
Number 34 shirt.

- BOLOGNA TRAINING
- Scans on Falcone and Pecchia have
revealed no serious damage so both
players will be available for Sunday's
game. Falcone trained with the rest
of the squad today but Pecchia kept
to a seperate training regime. Salvatore
Fresi has also returned to training,
he could be available for Sunday's
game, as will Goretti, despite having
a broken finger on his right hand.
Beppe Signori's condition will be
re-assessed a tthe end of the week
and it has been confirmed that Renato
Olive has cracked his 10th rib, he
will be out for approximately one
month.

- OLIVE'S INJURY
- Renato Olive has left hospital in
Parma, where examination showed there
to be no serious damage, though he
has sustained a fractured rib which
could keep him out of action for the
next month. A
final assesment will be made on Wednesday
when he is due to undergo a scan.

to have scans on their respective
injuries on Wednesday . Salvatore
Fresi is expected to be able to make
the substitutes bench for the game
against Venezia but Beppe Signori

- Two early goals, the frist from
captain Fabio Cannavaro, the second

Parma secure all three points as they
beat Bologna 2-1 tonight at the Tardini

- Bologna coach Francesco Guidolin
believes his team deserved at least
one point from their local derby game
against Parma tonight, blaming two
defensive errors for the two goals
conceeded, and blaming the referee
for over-reacting when dismissing
Matteo Brighi deep into injury time.

- OLIVE HOSPITALISED
- Renato Olive spent the night in
hospital after being carried off the
field on a stretcher during tonight's
game against Parma. Olive clashed
with Alain Boghossian as they competed
for a high ball and he fell heavily,
injuring his neck in the process.
