- FIORENTINA TRAINING - The Fiorentina
squad undertook a double training
session today under the watchful eye
of their new president Ugo Poggi.
Baronio has returned to full training
with the rest of the squad but Agositoni
and Moretti continued to train alone,
though all three players have a chance
of being available for Saturday' afternoon's
game with Juventus.

confirmed that he will play Nuno Gomez
and Adriano as twin strikers with
Morfeo in behind for tomorrow's relegation
clash with Venezia. He's also considering
a possible switch to a 4-3-1-2 formation.

it's obvious that he's still suffering
from some slight muscle trouble. Bianchi
is facing severe problems with his
midfield for Sunday's game as Amaral

are unavailable at present, though
one of them may be able to recover
in time.

beat the Austrian side Kaerten 2-0
in today's friendly game with Benin
and Ganz scoring the goals. Bianchi
has some injury problems for Sunday's

are all unavailable, though Di Livio
and Adriano have recovered from slight
injuries and will make the starting
eleven.

Roma received a setback today when
they had to fight back from lightening
strikes by Domenico Morfeo and Adriano
which left them two goals down within
the first 20-minutes. Second half
goals from Antonio Cassano and Emerson
levelled the tie at 2-2 to leave Roma
1-point clear at the top of theleague

to have had a change of heart over
Nuno Gomes' mid-week rebellion,
and he could include the Portugese
international in the starting eleven
for Sunday's game. This would mean
both Marco Rossi and Predraig Mijatovic
having to watch the match from the
stands. Adani is still injured and
this could make way for Pierini to
return to the starting eleven fo rthe
first time in a long while. Viola
youngster Ceccarelli is favourite
to start in favour of the veteran
defender Moreno Torricelli.
