- ROMA TRAINING - The
Roma squad took part in a very light
training session today before departing
for Spain, where they included some
last minute shooting practice. Batistuta
demonstrated his well-being after
missing yesterday's training with
some slight muscle problems. Emerson
appears to have completely shaken
off his ankle injury. Aldair and Zebina
are competing for the one available
place in the Roma defence for Wednesday's
game.Walter Samuel will return to
the centre of the defence. Capello
looks likely to use a 3-5-2 formation
with Batistuta and Totti as 'twin'
strikers.

- ROMA TRAINING - The
Roma squad have already resumed training
as they began their preperations for
Wednesday's Champions League game
with Barcelona. Capello has called
up 23-players to the squad for the
trip to Spain, including Panucci,
who is set to make his Champions League
debut for Roma. Batistuta was given
the day off in order to rest after
suffering from some muscle trouble
and Totti only took part in some of
today's exercises. Balbo, Tomic, Fuser
and Emerson continued on seperate
training programmes as they attempt
to recover from injury.

- BRESCIA 0-0 ROMA - Carlo
Mazzone blew his top once again today
as Luca Toni's late goal for Brescia
was disallowed. In tenSerie-A meetings
between Mazzone and Capello the Brescia
coach had never got the better of
Capello and the referee's decision
thwarted him once again. Roma were
without Francesco Tooti and Walter
Samuel as 'Don Fabio'chose to rotate
his squad in advance of this week's
Champions League game.....Details

- ROMA LATEST - With the prosepect
of four games within the next nine
days Fabio Capello has indicated that
he'll be forced into using some heavy
squad rotation, and he may leave out
some important players for Sunday's
game with Brescia. During today's
training session Capello experimented
with playing Montella alongside Batistuta
and then Delvecchio alongside Totti.
Walter Samuel will probably be rested
for Sunday with Aldair taking his
place, Zebina will miss the game,
Panucchi has only a slight chance
of playing. Lima and Tommasi are both
competing for the one available place
left in midfield, with Lima the favourite
to start following his great performance
in last week's game with Juventus.

- ROMA TRAINING - Panucci is continuing
to recover from his injury but he
may have to sit out Sunday's game
with Brescia, though he is expected
to be back in the starting eleven
for next Wednesday's Champions League
game with Barcelona. Zebina has almost
fully recovered from his injury.
Marcos Assuncao and Abel Balbo both
underwent some physiotheraphy before
training. 'Big Phil' Scolari, the
Brazilian national coach has been
talking to 'Don Fabio' Capello and
he has indicated that Lima is very
close to winning his first international
cap.

- ROMA TRAINING - The Roma squad took
part in a small 'in-house' practice
match today. Totti took part with
the others though Panucci was missing,
he's suffering from an injury that
he picked up during Wednesday's International
match. Balbo was forced to stop training
after picking up a slight injury.
Assuncao continued to train alone
as he attempts to recover from his
injury.
Candela and Tommasi both undertook
seperate training regimes from the
others. Pelizzoli confined himself
to working in the gym. Guigou is expected
back in Rome on Friday following his
call-up to the Uruguayan national
squad.
