- ROMA TRAINING - Cafu has picked
up an injury to his left thigh and
is 'doubtful' for Sunday's game agaisnt
Fiorentina. His condition wil be assessed
further on Friday. Vincenzo Montella
missed today's training session
with some tendon trouble in his right
foot, he underwent some physiotherapy
and has every chance of being included
in the squad. Capello has confirmed
that he will use the 'trident' of
Delvecchio and Batistuta up front
with Totti tucked in behind for Sunday's
game with Fiorentina.

- Assuncao undertook some physiotherapy
today as he began his recovery from
yesterday's operation on his left
knee. Cafu and Fuser also underwent
some physiotherapy treatment , Cafu
has some muscle problems, Fuser has
a tendon problem in his left knee.
Walter Samuel has fully recovered
from his problems and Totti, Montella,
Zago, Tommasi, Delvecchio, Cafu, Candela,
and Balbo have all returned to training
following their return from Vienna.

- The Roma squad returned to training
today but Totti, Montella, Zago, Tommasi,
Delvecchio, Candela, Cafu and Balbo
were all misisng as they still haven't
returned from their trip to Vienna.
Antonioli complained of some trouble
to his left knee and took part in
a seperate training programme from
the others. Samuel, Emerson and Cufre
underwent some physiotherapy for their
respective injuries. Samuel and Cufre
have problems with his left thighs,
Emerson has a slight injury to his
right thigh.

- The Roma squad were given the day
off today in order to rest, they will
resume training tomorrow in order
to prepare for next weekend's trip
to Florence.
Walter Samuel wil have his condition
assessed tomorrow, the player complained
of some muscle pain prior to Sunday's
game against Piacenza.

- KONSEL'S TRIBUTE
- Totti, Montella, Zago, Tommasi,
Delvecchio, Candela, Cafu and Balbo
have all gone to Vienna in order to
attend a special game in honour of
Austrian, and former Roma goalkeeper,
Michael Konsel. but Capello has given
strict instructions that they are
not to play in the match.

-PLEASURE AND PAIN PRINCIPLE
- Roma midfielder Marcos Assuncao
scored a fantastic goal with one of
his trademark free-kicks to give Romaa
15th minute lead in their game against
Piacenza yesterday, but injured his
left knee only minutes later. He underwent
a succesful operation today and is
expected back in action for the Lecce
game on March 3rd.

- Two goals, one in the first half
from Assuncao, the other late in the
second from Batistuta, his third in
three games, gave Roma a 2-0 win over
Piacenza at the Stadio Olimpico this

- Marco Delvecchio looks set to be
included in tomorrow's starting line-up
despite Vincenzo Montella's return
to full fitness. Zago and Aldair are
competing for the place vacated by
the disqualified Zebina, with Zago
favourite to take over. Emerson is
the only guaranteed starter in midfield,
though Tommasi, Assuncao and Lima
are all available, Lima has just recoverd
from inury and is the least likely
of the trio to start. Cassano has
recovered from a slight muscle injury
and could be on the bench alongside
Diego Fuser.
