- LAZIO 1-5 ROMA - There
were incredible scenes at the Stadio
Olimpico tonight as Roma moved back
to the top of Serie-A with a 5-1 thrashing
of Lazio. Vincenzo Montella surprisingly
started the game and scored a first
half hat -trick to put his side 3-0
up. Lazio got one back before 'the
little aeroplane' added his fourth.

has a full squad available for selection
for Sunday night's Rome derby. Emerson
is still feeling some pain in his
foot but is available for selection.
Batistuta and Delvecchio are likely
starters up-front.

and Zago underwent some physiotherapy
today, both players then continued
on their sperate training programmes
as they attempt to return to fitness.
Saliou Lassissi is continuing to recover
from a long term injury.

- - ROMA TRAINING - The
Roma squad took a double training
session today with a practice match
in the afternoon. Capello is keeping
his plans secret until the last possible
moment. Emerson underwent some physiotherapy
and then trained alone. Panucci and
Pelizzoli both kept themselves to
seperate training programmes, though
all three players are available for
selection for Sunday's Rome 'derby'
with Lazio. Zago missed today's trainig
with a leg injury. Primavera player
Bovo has sufffered a serious knee
injury.

is still suffering from his foot injury
and he's only been able to take part
in some training, but his place in
the starting eleven for Sunday's derby
game with Lazio isn't in doubt.
The game is already Sold Out.

Roma squad were set to take a double
training session today. Batistuta
looks set to replace Vincenzo Montella
for next week's game. Capello has
still to decide between using Delvecchio,
Tommasi, Emerson and Lima.
One things for certain, Capello is
likley to continue to use the heavy
squad rotation that the's been employing
over recent weeks.

has given the squad two days off in
order to rest, the players will resume
work on Wednesday morning, where preperations
for the Rome derby will start in earnest.
Emerson will have his injury assessed,
even though he played through it on

appears to have recovered enough to
be in tomorrow's starting line-up.
Up-front Delvecchio is likely to start
alongside Batistuta with Totti in
behind.
Montella is almost certain to start
on the bench.

- ROMA TRAINING - Capello
will wait until the very last moment
before deciding on whether or not
to include Emerson in the squad for
the trip to Lecce, the midifelder
missed today's training session. His
swollen ankle is reportedly getting
better, even though it is still causing
some pain. Assuncao has returned to
full training with the rest of the
squad and is available for selection
again. Zebina and Cassano missed part
of today's training session to undergo
some medical examinations but neither
player has any injuries.
