  ITALY - Wednesday, 13th February, 2002
  13.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Rossi has returned to Venezia after last night's Under-21 game. Brivio missed today's training as he had to visit the dentist, Rukavina underwent some physiotherapy today, Pablo Garcia, Andersson and Lai were all away with their respective national squads. Magallanes, Maniero, De Franceschi and Budan all kept to seperate training regimes as they recover from injuries. There's another training session planned for Thursday where everyone should be available.

  12.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Santana took part in his first training session with his new team-mates today. Budan, Conteh and Bison carried out seperate training programmes from the others and Rukavina was missing. There's a friendly game against Polish side Wisla Cracow planned for Wednesday afternoon.

  11.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Rossi has been callled up to the Azzurini Under-21 squad, Andersson is with the Swedish national squad and Pablo Garcia is with the Uruguayan national team. Magallanes has pulled out of the Uruguay squad for their game with South Korea. New signing Mario Alberto Santana will be introduced to the press and players on Tuesday afternoon after arriving from Argentine side San Lorenzo. Rukavina nd Valtolina will have their injuries assessed when the squad return to training on Tuesday.

  10.02.02 - VENEZIA 2-0 FIORENTINA - Venezia gained their third win of the season today when goals from Federico Magallanes and Pippo Maniero gave them a 2-0 win over troubled Fiorentina....Details

  09.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Conteh and Valtolina are both suffering from high temperatures that put them in doubt for tomorrow's game with Fiorentina, though they have both been included in the squad. Venezia youngster Balleello has been called up to the first team squad from the Primavera team for the first time, Andersson and Pablo Garcia should both make the starting line-up.

  08.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Rukavina was the only player missing from today's training session, though the others only took part in a very short period of training.

  ITALY - Thursday, 7th February, 2002
  07.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Venezia won today's friendly against the Primavera team 3-1. Rossi, Donnet, Garcia, Bettarini and Budan all played for the Primavera team. Bressan returned to training today but limited himself to some running exercises. Rukavina won't be called up to Sunday's squad, he missed training but did undergo some physiotherapy. Maniero, De Franceschi and Bilica all trained seperately today.

  06.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Stefano Bettarini returned to training today as the Venezia squad prepared for Sunday's game with Fiorentina. Bressan has recovered from his high temperature but didn't train today, Rukavina underwent some physiotherapy on the injury to his left thigh. Brivio and Valtolina were both forced to stop training after suffering some muscle trouble. De Franceschi and Magallanes trained alone. There was a small practice match in the afternoon where Maniero picked up a slight back injury but it doesn't appear to be anything serious. Surprisngly the Venezia goalkeeper Rossi managed to score twice in the afternoon game, as did Andersson. Stefano Bettarini returned to training. There's a small friendly game planned for tomorrow afternoon.

  ITALY - Tuesday, 5th February, 2002
  05.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - The Venezia squad returned to training today but Bettarini was given permission to take the day off. He's already discounted from next weekend's game after picking up a Yellow Card in last week's match. Bressan was also missing from today's training session after complaining of a high temperature. Magallanes kept to a seperate training session from the others. During training Rukavina suffered a recurrance of the problem to his left knee, the injury that forced him out of last Sunday's game with Perugia.

  ITALY - Monday, 4th February, 2002
  04.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - The Venezia squad are expected to return to training on Tuesday afternoon after taking Monday off in order to rest. Bettarini will be disqualified for next weekend's game agaisnt Fiorentina after picking up his eighth Yellow Card of the season, Cvitanovic is his most likely replacement. Alberto Santana is expected to join up with his new team-mates later this week.

  03.02.02 - BOLOGNA 1-1 VENEZIA - Bologna had to fight their way back from being a goal down in order to escape from today's game with bottom club Venezia with a single point. Pippo Maniero gave the visitors a first half lead with a header in the 23rd minute before Bellucci equalised for the hosts right on the hour-mark, heading home from a corner just four minutes after coming on as a substitute.....Details

  ITALY - Saturday, 2nd February, 2002
  02.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Mauro Bressan has been forced to drop out of the squad for tomorrow's game with Bologna. Bison, Cvitanovic and Budan have not been included in the travelling party. Bilica and Bettarii have gone with the others even though they have yet to shake off slight 'knocks'. Two Primavera players, Ballello and Lai, have been convened to the first team squad. Andersson has been called-up to the Sweish national squad for their friendly game against Greece on February 13th.

  01.02.02 - VENEZIA TRAINING - Venezia have their entire squad available for Sunday's game with the exception of new signing Santana, who has returned to South America in order to complete some paperwork over this transfer. Magallanes and Pablo Garcia have both been called up to the Uruguay national squad for their game against South Korea on February 13th.

TRANSFER ROUND-UP - Sotgia out to Padova, Morrone out to Cosenza, Santana in from San Lorenzo, Bjorklund out to Sunderland (England), Algerino out to Sochaux (France)
