Helsingborgs -v- Inter Milan ! - Inter Milan were beaten 1-0 by Helsingborgs of Sweden in the 1st Leg of last night's Champions League Preliminary Round game, where Inter had a lot of key players missing through injury. Inter dominated the first half of the game but it had seemed destined to end 0-0 before Hansson popped up to score for Helsingborgs in the 81st minute. Zamorano started the game on the bench as Lippi used Hakan Sukur and Robbie Keane up-front.

Brocchi and Pirlo had combined well on the right flank as early as the 6th minute and Pirlo's cross shot almost caught out the Helsingborg's keeper Andersson. The Swede's were then lucky to survive as a defender almost turned Brocchi's effort into this own net. Keane then broke into the box following a good run in the the 12th minute but his shot was straight at the keeper. The Irishman then had a penalty appeal truned down later in the first half, but the two teams went in at half-time with the score at 0-0. Macellari replaced Domaraud at half-time and he quickly found Brolate goal sank Inter. Helsingborg's almost added a second in the final minute but Frey made a great save.

Transfer News ! - On the transfer front Inter are close to signing the Brazilian midfielder Vampeta and he's expected to arrive some time next week, not in December as was first thought........... Previous
