Dynamo Zagreb -v- AC Milan ! - AC Milan won last night's Champions League Preliminary Round 1st Leg against Dynamo Zagreb 3-1, possibly settling Zaccheroni's future in the processs.

Serginho set up a good chance Jose Mari in the very first minute of the game, but his effort hit the post, before the young Spanish player went close to scoring again, this time Leonardo played him through but the keeper saved his effort. Then Shevchenko had a shot go just over the bar before Dynamo Zagreb had their first effort on goal as Jabic shot just wide in the 5th minute of the game. Ambrosini and Pipovic then picked up Yellow Cards before Albertini and Shevchenko combined and they almost found a way through the Zagreb defence. Milan were well on top when Abbitai had to run out of his goal to cover up a defensive mistake in the 10th minute. Then in the 20th minute Pipovic headed home the first goal of the game following a corner totally agaisnt the run of play. Milan struck straight back as Shevchenko met Albertini's free-kick and levelled the scores in the 22nd minute. Leonardo, then Jose Mari, both went close to giving Milan the lead before the Zagreb keeper made a great save from Albertini. Selodski tried a shot at an empty net in the 32nd minute as Abbiati could only watch from out of position but luckily for Milan the effort sailed over the bar. Jose Mari then wasted a great chance, heading straight at the Zagreb keeper from only 1-yard out. Shevchenko then had a shot rebound to Ambrosini, who proceeded to waste the chance, allowing a defender to get back and put the ball behind for a corner. Leonardothen had a shot saved and the two teams went in at half-time with the score standing a t 1-1.

In the 50th minute Guly was sent on to replace Ambrosini, who didn't look anywhere near being fit, before Jose Mari missed another great chance for Milan to take the lead. Milan finally went in front in the 60th minute after Shevchenko finished off an Albertini free-kick from close range and he almost scored his third only 8-minutes later when his shot was well saved by the Zagreb keeper. Costacurta received a head in jury in the 78th minute and returned to the field heavily bandaged tand to great applause before Commandini scored an extraordinary goal in the first minute of injury time to make the final score 3-1 to Milan..........
