Denmark come forward quickly and win a corner

Tomasson breaks clear and beats the offside trap, he has only Barthez to beat but he tries to place the ball past him and Barthez saves with his legs, Denmark win another corner. The ball ends up safely in Barthez's arms

Anelka breaks through the centre but he's tackled by Henriksson on the edge of the box, Denmark counter-attack quickly, Barthez races out of his box to foil Tomasson again

France come forward and win a corner, the ball ends up safely with Schmeichel, a long throw up-field sets Denamark free, Deschamp makes a great defensive tackle and Denmark get yet another corner. This time Colding heads over the bar and France get a goal-kick

Djorkaeff is fouled by Tofting and France get a free-kick in midfield. Zidane is fouled by Tofting and France get another free-kick, 30-yards out and fairly central. The free-kick is laid off for Djorkaeff but his shot goes high and wide, taking a deflection off Sand on the way but a goal-kick is given

10-minutes played and France have a goal-kick. Henry is fouled by Bisgaard in midfield.

Thuram clears the ball from the box, it falls to Sand, he finds room for the shot and forces a good save from Fabian Barthez

Anelka breaks free of the offside trap, he has only Schmeichel to beat, he's forced wide and shoots into the side-netting with Schjonberg racing back to cover

Thuram does well to win the bal from Gronkjaer in midfield, Djorkaeff is fouled by Heintze

Henry and Anelka combine well on the edge of the box, Schmeichel comes out, he saves he fails to gather the ball, it falls to Laurent Blanc and he tucks it home - in the 16th minute

Henry finds Zidane, he almost finds a way through with a great through ball which is just cut-out, Anelka appears to break through but he's given offside

France are playing a close passing game in midfield. Tomasson does well to win a throw-in on the half-way line

Gronkjaer gets down the left flank and wins a corner. Tofting puts a good cross into the box but everybody misses the ball and it rolls out of play for a goal-kick to France

Djorkaeff, Anelka and Zidane combine well, Djorkaeff croses into the box but there's nobody there. France surge forward but Schjonberg does well to put the ball behind for a corner. Zidane crosses and Schmeichel punches clear

Zidane plays a great 35-yard ball forward for Henry, he's tackled and Denmark get a goal-kick. Djorkaeff is caught offside for France

Nielsen does well to beat Deschamp but his final cross is poor, Tomasson lays the ball backa shot comes in but it's deflected behind for a corner. Tofting crosses into the box, Barthez comes out to claim the ball and throws it up-field

Petit's cross is cleared away by Henrikson. Allan Nielsen is injured in his own box but is quickly back on his feet

Denmark win a throw-in, by the French right-hand corner-flag. Nielsen puts a long throw into the box, Blanc heads it clear

Bisgaard gets past Thuram and wins a corner as Blanc puts the ball behind. Tofting's corner is punched clear by Barthez

Thuram finds Zidane, he plays a good ball through to Anelka, Schjoenberg wins the ball as he gets away with pulling on Anelka's shirt

Henry breaks into the box but he can't break past Schjonberg

Bisggard is bundled off the ball by Henry but wins a throw-in, though Denmark give the advante back to France as Sand puts the ball out of play

Lizarazu gives away a corner on the right, Petit manages to head clear, Colding and Deschamps clash and Denmark get a free-kick 25-yards out on the right hand side of the box

Schonberg crosses to the far post and Blanc heads the ball clear, Denmark come back at them but Lizarazu manages to get the ball behind for another Danish corner. Nielsen's cross is knocked clear by Zidane, the ball falls to Heinze, he tries a volley that goes well wide but an offside is given anyway

Petit gives away a free-kick 30-yards out and central. Tofting shoots, Barthez fails to hold onto the ball, it drops to Tomasson but he fails to capitalise on the chance

Bisgaard fouls Desailly and France get a free-kick deep inside their own half

Thuram is caught offside as France get forward. Henriksen does well to win the ball from Zidane in midfield but the move breaks down on the edge of the box

Tomasson goes down theatrically in the box but nothing is given

Gronkjaer gets past Thuram but his cross is cut out by Blanc att the near post

Blanc plays a long ball forward to Henry but Henry's finish is poor as he stabs the ball wide of the far post. Djorkaeff is replaced by Vieira for France after 58-minutes

Nielsen is indecisive with his header and it's a poor effort

Tofting crosses into the box, Barthez collects it comfortably before Sand can reach it

Henry finds Anelka at the far post and his header flashes just wide of the post

Grokjaer puts a good cross over from the right, Bisgaard's shot is wayward and France counter-attack on the break, Henry goes alone and places the ball past Schmeichel and into the net following a run from the half-way line

Denmark come forward and win a corner, the bal is knocked clear and Anelka sets off on a run, he runs into Henriksen and the move breaks down. Vieira goes down injured and he requires treatment

Heinze plays a long ball into the French box, Lizarazu chests it back to Barthez. France break quickly, Henry finds Anelka, he takes the ball around Schmeichel but he's given offside

Zidane runs through midfield he lofts a clever ball forward for Anelka but Schmeichel reads the situation well and collects the ball off Anelka's feet

Jorgensen and Gravesen replace Bisgaard and Tofting for Denmark after 71 minutes. Heinze clashes Thuram on the left flank and he requires treatment

Gravesen puts a long throw into the French box but Barthez collects it comfortably, he throws the ball out quickly and Henry sets off again, Gronkajer does well to get back and make a good tackle

Zidane is fouled by Colding. 25-yards out on the left. Petit puts the free-kick to the back post and finds Vieira but Schmeichel collects his header

Denmark get forward but Jorgensen's final shot goes well wide, Heinze returns to action

Tomasson is replaced by Mikkel Beck for Denmark in the 79th minute

Vieira flicks the ball through midfield, Anelka is on-side but Schmeichel is first to the ball. Wiltord replaces Anelka for France after 81-minutes

Gravesen puts a curling free-kick to the back post, Schjonberg does well to keep the ball in plauy and drive it across the box but France get it clear
