Salgado crosses into the box from the right, it's easily cleared but Spain win a free-kick in midfield as Vieira commits a foul

Thuram breaks down the right wing but he runs into trouble and Abelardo gets the ball clear

Mendieta is tackled by Vieira on the edge of the box

Aranzabal plays a good ball forward for Munitis to chase, he's fouled by Thuram but the defender gets away with it and France get a goal-kick

Djorkaeff is fouled by Aranzabal 25-yards out and central. Zidane scores from the free-kick, in the 33rd minute

Alfonso finds Munitis in the box, he's brought down by Thuram and Spain get a penalty. Mendieta lines up the ball and places it past Barthez for the equaliser in the 37th minute

Salgado fouls Dugarry, 35-yards out on the left, Zidane's cross is over-hit and misses everybody for a Spanish goal-kick

Bixente makes a good interception in defence, he runs forward, carrying the ball to the half-way line, he's brought down by Helguera

Djorkaeff is fouled by Aranzabal near the half-way line

Zidane breaks and Thuram overlaps, he crosses right across the face of the goal, the move ends with a goal-kick to Spain
