Ilie gets the bal in the box, he goes down under a challenge from Nowotny but nothing is given, it looked like a foul but Ilie went down a bit easily. Ilie and Hagi both receive Yellow Card for protesting

Rink gets down the left, he crosses for Bierhoff, Chivu does well to deny him right on the 6-yard box and Filipescu clears the ball away

Ziege plays a wide ball out to the left for Hassler he plays it back into the centre, Romania win the bal and break quickly, Hagi is fouled and asks for a Yellow Card to be given to Babbel and Hagi risks being sent-off, but escapes with a talking to from the referee

Romania get forward, Rehmar stumbles, Moldovan gets a shot on target from a narrow angle but Kahn saves with his feet, Romania get a corner. Petrescu's corner finds Hagi, his cross is headed just wide by Moldovan

Scholl gets down the right but Munteanu does well to tackle him, Romania counter-attack but Jeremies makes a good interception

Romania win a succession of corners, th efinal one from Ilie misses everybody and goes out of play for a goal-kick
