Italy break quickly and Totti does well to win a corner at the other end. Cannavaro crosses from the right and everybody misses the ball. Italy are caught offside and Turkey get the goal-kick

Italy win another corner, this time on the left, the cross comes over and Abdullah puts it behind for another corner, this time it results in a goal-kick as Conte heads wide. Inzaghi gets forward, Alpay puts the ball behind for another Italy corner. The cross comes over and the keeper gets the ball out, it's cleared by Ergun

Fiore breaks into the box and shoots just wide, Conte was in an offside position anyway, Turkey are given a goal-kick

Totti runs through the centre, a great ball comes through for Inzaghi to chase but he's given offside, the wrong decision

Pessotto crosses into the box, Fatih and Umit combine to put the ball behind for Italy's fifth corner in the first seven minutes of the game. The cross comes over, the keeper is lost but the defence get the ball clear, Conte comes back at them, he tries a shot but it's blocked and the ball ends up in the arms of Rustu

Albertini plays a great through ball and again Italy are given offside in a very tight decision. Turkey get the ball upfield and win a corner on the left. The cross comes over and is safely gathered by Toldo.

Italy gets forward and Totti shoots wide from distance. Zambrotta is fouled and Italy get a free-kick in midfield. The ball is floated into the box by Albertini but it's headed clear by the Turkish defence

Inzaghi chases a through ball and wins another corner, it's taken quickly but Rustu makes a good save and clears the ball upfield. Conte gets down the left flank and Italy win another corner. The cross comes over and misses everybody with the goalkeeper looking lost. Turkey try to break quickly but Hakan Sukur fails to control the ball and the move breaks down

Hakan Sukur causes some trouble in the box, Nesta gets the ball away, it falls to Sergen, he shoots just wide from outside the box with Toldo beaten

15-minutes played and Fiore sets Inzaghi free in the box, he shoots just wide under pressure from two defenders, just failing to connect properly with the ball

Totti is bundled off the ball by Fatih, 25-yards out and Italy get a free-kick in a central position. Totti lines up the free-kick and shoots straight into the defensive wall, the ball drops to Maldini, he finds Fiore out on the right, he puts a great cross into the box and Inzaghi rises well but puts his header wide, a bad miss

Hakan Sukur tries to break but he can't get past Nesta and Italy get forward with Totti, he plays a good ball through but Inzaghi is tackled in the box

Umit gets down the right wing, he finds Halkan Sukur but the move breaks down and Italy counter attack very quickly, Conte is unable to get a shot in and Turkey get the ball clear

Cannavaro gives away a free-kick on the left flank. The ball is played deep into the Italy box and the defence get the ball clear

Ogun gets forward down the right wing but he can't get past Maldini. Sergen receives the ball on the left flank with loads of room, he crosses into the box but a header is blocked and the defence get the ball away

Pessotto plays a good ball through for Inzaghi but he's adjudged to have handled the ball in controlling it and a free-kick is given to Turkey

Fiore runs through the centre but he's finally tackled by Ogun. Totti gives away a free-kick on the edge of the Turkey box

Turkey play a high ball through the centre and into the box, Toldo is under some pressure from Hakan Sukur but he gathers the ball at the third attempt after a moment of worry

Albertini plays a great ball into the box for Fiore but he's tackled by Alpay, Turkey break and Hakan Sukur fouls Nesta in midfield. Turkey build a great passing move through midfield, Okan does well with Tugay but Cannavaro puts a good challenge in, giving away a corner in the process. The cross comes over and misses everybody, Italy get a goal-kick

33-minutes played and Ogun fouls Pessotto in midfield and Italy get the free-kick, 40-yards out and central. Albertini plays it forward but Ogun heads it clear

Zambrotta is shrugged off the ball by Abdullah, Turkey win a throw-in, deep inside their own half. Alpay makes a great tackle on Totti in midfield

Italy play a long ball forward and Alpay does well to cut out the ball before it reaches Inzaghi, Rustu does well to save the corner. Ogun does well to cut out a through ball

Turkey put a long throw into the Italy box, it's headed over the bar by the defence for a corner to Turkey. Sergen's corner is punched clear by Toldo

Abdullah is brought down by Conte and Turkey get a free-kick on the left flank. The ball is floated into the box and headed clear by Nesta. Turkey come back at Italy with an extra man, but again the defence get the ball away. Italy break quickly but again Alpay defies Inzaghi. Italy win another corner. Fiore crosses from the left, again the keeper is lost but again the ball misses everybody and ends up with a goal-kick to Turkey

Italy win a free-kick 40-yards out on the right, Zambrotta and Fiore do well to win a throw-in by the corner-flag but they are forced back into midfield, the move ends with a bad cross from Pessotto, resulting in a goal-kick

Second-Half Starts

Cannavaro and Hakan Sukur clash and Italy get the free-kick, deep inside their own half. Zambrotta gives away a free-kick deep inside the Turkish half.

Sergen tries to break through the centre but he's eventually crowded out by the Italian defence. Umit puts a long throw into the box and it produces a corner for Turkey. The cross comes over and Toldo plucks the ball out of the air

Hakan Sukur gets to the edge of the box but he can't get past two Italian defenders, the move ends with the ball safely in Toldo's arms. Maldini makes a good tackle on Umit and Turkey get a throw-in by the right hand corner flag. A long throw is put into the box and Turkey win another corner. The ball drops to Tayfur, 25-yards out, Toldo gets down well to make the save

Inzaghi and Fiore combine wel in the box, the ball drops to Conte an dhe scores a great goal with an overhead kick

Zambrotta finds Abdullah napping, he steals in but shoots wide. Turkey get forward and Albertini fouls Sergen 25-yards out. The free-kick causes some trouble but the final shot goes wide.

Italy get forward, a good cross comes over, the keeper completely misses the bal and Totti's header hits the bar and is then cleared off the line by Ogun. Italy win a corner on the right. The cross comes over and it's headed clear

Turkey win a free-kick 25-tyards out on the right as Maldini pushes a Turkish player in the back. The cross is floated intot he box and Okan heads home with Toldo stranded

Iuliano replaces Pessotto for Italy in the 61st minute

Fiore plays a good ball through for Inzaghi to chase, he gets his shot on target but the keeper makes the save. Zambrotta tries a curling shot from outside the box, Albertini shoots well wide from 25-yards out

Turkey get forward on the right, Okan gets past Iuliano and Turlkey win a throw-in by the corner-flag, Maldini eventually gets the ball clear

Inzaghi breaks into the box, he's challenged by Ogun and he goes down in the box, a penalty is given for an alleged 'elbow' a very harsh decision. Conte and Tayfur clash off the ball

Inzaghi places the ball on the penalty spot and hits it low and hard into the bottom corner of the net

Turkey get forward and Okan wins a corner on the left. The cross comes over and misses everybody, Italy get the ball clear

Abdullah has a shot blocked. Fiore is replaced by Del Piero for Italy in the 74th minute. Tugay replaces Umit for Turkey in the 75th minute.

Italy win a free-kick 30-yards out and central, Del Piero hits the underside of the bar and the ball bounces back into play. Conte goes down injured in midfield and he needs treatment, he leaves the field

Turkey get the ball into the box. Cannavaro makes a mistake, a player goes down in the box under a challenge from Nesta, nothing is given, Toldo makes a good save and Italy finally clear the ball as Iuliano gives away a throw-in. Conte returns to the action

80-minutes played, Sergen runs through the Italian defence, he lays the ball off to Abdullah, he strikes the ball well but it's cleanly caught by Toldo

Inzaghi runs clear and shoots wide from just inside the box. Sergen is replaced by Arif for Turkey after 81-minutes. Italy win a throw-in, deep inside the Turkish area. Di Livio replaces Totti for Italy after 82-minutes

Turkey come forward and pile on the pressure but Abdullah's final cross is poor and Italy get a goal-kick

Del Piero is tackled on the edge of the box, the ball falls to Zambrotta, he shoots but fails to connect properly with the ball and it's gathered by Rustu

Di Livio finds space, he plays it to his right for Del Piero but his shot is poor and the ball trickles wide of the post

Turkey get forward, Okan dos well to win a throw-in by the right-hand corner-flag, the ball is put into the box and Toldo claims it

Zambrotta breaks down the right, he goes down under a challenge from Abdullah but nothing is given, Turkey get a throw-in, Ergun replaces Okan for Turkey in the 88th minute

Del Piero dances through the Turkish defencet his final shot is poor

3-minutes of injury time to play and Del Piero breaks through into the box, his effort is cleared off the line by Alpay

Del Piero and Inzaghi combine well, Di Livio gets the ball in the net but an offside is given
