-Skonto Riga's push for the title took them to
the top of the league table with only 3-games
left to play. They won today's game 6-2, away
to Valmeria.

-Skonto Riga and Ventspils played out a 1-1 draw
in Riga today. Champions Skonto missing their
chance to top of the table by failing to overhaul
the long time leaders.

CLOSE GAP
-Skonto Riga closed the gap at the top of the
table to just 2-points following a 6-1 away win
over their city rivals FK Riga.

WIN AGAIN
- With only 5-games left to play last season's
runners up Ventspils maintained their 5-point
lead over Skonto Riga at the top of the table,
after running out 4-0 winners over bottom club
Auda today. Skonto won their game against Metalurgs
by one goal to nil.
