Central
defender Colonnese graduted to Serie-A through the lower
leagues of Italian soccer, starting his career with Potenza
in Serie-C2 and winning promotion to Serie-A with Cremonese
in 1993-94.
Signed by Roma in the summer of '94, he found it difficult
to gain a place in the capital but found a regular first
team spot with Napoli for two seasons.
He
then spent three seasons as a regular with Inter but was
pushed out of the first team last season and was sold
to Lazio in the summer, where so far he has been little
more than a fringe player. Yet to make a Serie-A appearance
with Lazio, he has featured in the Coppa Italia and as
a squad player in the Champions League
