Pancaro spent five seasons with Cagliari before joining Lazio in 1997, where he quickly established himself as a regular in the first eleven. He was a member of the double wining squad of 1999/2000 and of the side that won the 1999 Cup Winners Cup, he got his international call-up in 1999.

Pancaro is a full Italian international with four caps to his name and looks likely to maintain his position as right back at Lazio.
