I'm a S'pore EPL fan that supports Liverpool in particular. Being an EPL fan, English soccer had being my sporting diet since day one of incorporation. Before EPl (Div 1 days), and till now, I've been following Liverpool since the late 80's, and the transformation as I see has little to do with either players or manager, to date. Commercialism has overtaken the sport and it's place in sport for simple supporters like us had been overwhelmed by the phenomenol pace that S11 (dollar sign) had overtaken everything that every supporter had believed in. (I believe not only in the case of Liverpool fans) Let's not blame the club, manager or players for the matter, but rather, let's make 'football' work to the benefit of 'sport', where winner takes the all,in good spirit and sportsmanship, and would represent the 'cream of the crop' to proudly represent their country of origin in inter-continental competitions. Lverpool, as I believe would have the necessary qualities to do that in more one way, provided GH instils more confidence in the team, win or lose, and would be assured of 100% performance of every player on the field. Everything easier said than done, results count and where does the sport stand? Loyalty in our region counts for little as everyone wants to back a winner and what haapens to all the losers? Recommendation: As much as I support LFC, transparecy is paramount, clubs & players if they are as pro as they claim, bare the facts, fears & confidence, Expectations & Aspirations should be visible for the sake of long suffering fans.
