Boro Trial ! - Middlesbrough have taken 26-year-old Ghanian international Emmanuel Armah 'on-trial'. Armah 's contract with Accra Hearts of Oak runs out soon and the players representative believes that Boro are very close to signing him on a more permanent basis.

 
Gazza Sidelined ! - Paul Gascoigne has suffered a setback in his attempt to return to fitness after breaking his arm. He has served the three match ban he received as a result of the incident but complications with the steel pin he has had inserted into the injury have forced him back into hospital. He is scheduled to return for a reserve team game on April 26th.

 
F.A Youth Cup ! - Arsenal's youth team progressed to the final of the F.A Youth Cup after drawing 1-1 with Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium last night, Arsenal winning the tie 2-1 on aggregate. Jeremy Robinson opened the scoring for Middlesbrough but Graham Barrett levelled the game for Arsenal before half time . Arsenal will play Coventry in the final, which will be held over two legs.

 
Boro Comebacks ! - Phil Stamp and Craig Harrison both returned to action in the reserve team on Tuesday night as they lost 2-0 to Sheffield Wednesday. Stamp played the game as a striker and Harrison completed the full 90-minutes in the defence.

Boro Reserves ! - Middlesbrough reserves are set to play Sheffield Wednesday reserves tonight.

 
Boro Go To Libya ! - Middlesbrough have confirmed that they wil take part in an end of season tournament in Liby. The tournament wil involve Serie-A side Bari and Tripoli and wil involve games of 45-minute duration to mark the opening of the Great Man Made River Stadium.
